RAMSEY – DePaul scored four consecutive TDs in the second half en route to a 35-25 victory tonight over Don Bosco in Big North United Division football.
Spartans’ senior Kiy Hester scored three TDs, including an 18-yard TD catch and a 97-yard interception return – both in the third quarter – to help turn a 10-7 halftime deficit into a 28-10 lead.
Senior fullback Steven Speidel put DePaul, ranked No. 5 in The Record Top 25, in the lead for good, 14-10, when he ran for a 67-yard TD with 10:42 left in the third quarter.
DePaul put the game out of reach early in the fourth when sophomore defensive back Kwadir Brown returned an interception 65 yards for a score for a 35-10 lead.
Don Bosco led 10-7 at halftime after senior kicker Cameron Baels booted a 36-yard field goal on the final play of the second quarter. Backup quarterback Nick Crusco tossed a pair of TD passes in the fourth for No. 3 Don Bosco.
