River Dell senior Scott Kim won the individual title at today’s Big North Golf Championship (Bergen County bracket) at Valley Brook GC in River Vale.
Kim shot even-par 70, while Don Bosco sophomore Chris Briggs was runner-up with 71, and Bergen Catholic freshman Steve Weingroff shot 72 and was third via a match of cards with senior teammate Ryan Rose.
Bergen Catholic shot the low team score with a 299 to win the United Division. Five division titles were at stake: Pascack Hills won the Patriot with 315, Demarest won the National with 319, Paramus won the Freedom with 328, and Ridgefield Park won the American with 413.
(Today’s Liberty and Independence division tournaments slated for Preakness Valley in Wayne were postponed due to rain and rescheduled for May 17.)
