The Big North Gold tournament is set to begin on Saturday, and will feature several interesting story lines. Paramus Catholic, one of the top teams in the state is the prohibitive favorite, but Ridgewood is a threat that must be taken seriously.
Meanwhile, River Dell and Hackensack are all teams with interesting back stories — River Dell is in the state tournament for the first time since 2008 and Hackensack made the state tournament despite regularly playing only about seven players.
