St. Joseph hosts Don Bosco tonight at 7 p.m. in Montvale in the first major showdown of Bergen boys basketball teams ranked in the Top 10 in The Record preseason Top 25.
St. Joseph (2-0) is ranked No. 2 and Don Bosco (2-0) is undervalued at No. 7 and the winner earns a leg up in the race for the Big North United Division title, which Bosco won last season.
Another pivotal North Jersey division matchup features two Big North American contenders, No. 25 Cliffside Park vs. defending champ and No. 22 Dwight Morrow.
Other matchups featuring Top 25 teams: No. 15 Passaic Tech vs. No. 4 Kennedy, No. 5 Bergen Catholic vs. No. 21 Paramus Catholic, and No. 13 NV/Old Tappan vs. No. 14 Bergenfield.
