Ramapo

Jordan Fuller had a huge game for Northern Valley at Old Tappan Friday as the Golden Knights beat Ramapo 32-28 in Big North crossover action. And while that was the first time the highly recruited Fuller was unleashed this season, we ll know what he can do when he’s healthy.

The real eye-opener Friday was Ramapo senior QB Keith Woetzel. He is a wonderful combination of toughness and speed, and he has a great grasp of this offense he patiently waited to call his own. He ran for 155 yardes and three TDs Friday and threw for 119 and another score.

“That quarterback is a tough kid who made a lot of big plays,” said NVOT coach Brian Dunn. “That may go unnoticed because we won the game, but he’s a good player.”

In two games, Woetzel has thrown for 285 yards while rushing for 224 yardsand five TDs. That stamps him as a QB to watch as a good Ramapo team makes its push in North 1, Group 3.
