Northern Highlands secured its first bid to the Jamboree in six years with tonight’s 64-56 victory over Ridgewood in Big North Freedom Division boys basketball.
Junior forward Rich Holle had 22 points and 15 rebounds, the “best game of his career,†coach Mike Stone said. Senior guard Holden Rosen added 12 points and six assists.
Northern Highlands turned a halftime deficit into a lead in the third quarter by outscoring Ridgewood, 21-11.
“It was just a very strong third quarter,†Stone said. “We played much better defense, and our guys created more opportunities with offensive rebounds and hustling to loose balls. And we just had a more balanced scoring attack.â€
