Paramus, ranked No. 5 in The Record’s North Jersey Top 15, hosts No. 7 Northern Highlands today in a decisive Big North Freedom Division girls’ volleyball match.
Paramus (13-2 overall, 7-0 Freedom) holds a one-game division lead over Northern Highlands (11-3, 6-1) and can all but clinch with a season sweep. Northern Highlands can pull even with a win over Paramus.
Also today, No. 13 Westwood (12-3, 4-2) hosts No. 12 Mahwah (10-3, 5-1) in a pivotal Big North Patriot Division battle. Mahwah will hold first place with a win, while a Westwood win would create a three-way tie for first that includes River Dell (10-2, 5-2).
Meanwhile, Immaculate Heart and Ridgefield Park posted wins Thursday to clinch Big North division titles, and below are updated standings for the Big North and NJIC.
