All eyes are on Saturday’s Bergen and Passaic County tournament games, but here’s look how some of the teams in The Record baseball Top 25 did Friday:

NORTH HALEDON — Matt Sorrentino gave up two runs in the top of the first inning then shut down Rutherford the rest of the way, leading Eastern Christian to a 3-2 win over the Bulldogs, No. 2 in The Record baseball Top 25, in NJIC Colonial Division play.

EC went ahead to stay by scoring three in the bottom of the second. John Onufer and Zac Binger had RBI to highlight the rally.

POMPTON LAKES 6, MANCHESTER 0 (at Pompton Lakes): Peter Campbell tossed a two-hitter and Connor Lavin had a double and two RBI to pace the Cardinals to a Colonial Division victory.

EMERSON 4, WALDWICK 1 (at Emerson): Nick Smith had a double and two RBI as the No. 15 Cavos warmed up for today’s BergenCounty tournament matchup with Old Tappan with a Patriot Division win.

Scott Hucki picked up his fourth win, sha first inningutting down the Warriors after allowing run. Tyler Pavone and Chris Nedilsky added RBI for the Cavos.

BIG NORTH

            RIDGEFIELD PARK 6, BERGENFIELD 3 (at Palisades Park): Chris Fitzgerald and Joe Guericio each had two RBI to lead the No. 17 Scarlets to a Big North crossover win.

MAHWAH 8, RAMAPO 0 (at Mahwah): Shane Woelfel tossed a one-hitter as the No. 4 Thunderbirds picked up a crossover win against the No. 20 Green Raiders. John Pantano and Eric Kaplan each had two RBI.

RIDGEWOOD 6, PARAMUS 1 (at Ridgewood): Junior shortstop Nico Symington continues to swing a hot bat, picking up a double and two RBI as the No. 13 Maroons beat the No. 22 Spartans in Freedom Division action.
