Northern Highlands

Northern Highlands guard Madison Dunbar swished four free throws in the final 27 seconds to lead Northern Highlands to an exciting 54-50 Big North win over Paramus Catholic Tuesday at Paramus Catholic High School.
“It was a tough crowd and I just tried to block out the noise and pretend I was at practice,” said Dunbar, who finished with 11 points, four steals and four assists. “It’s a good game every time we play them.”
“We survived this one. We didn’t play our best, but these types of games get you ready for counties and states,” Northern Highlands coach Al Albanese said.
Jackie Reyneke had 21 points, 20 rebounds and four blocks and Melissa Heath had 10 points and five rebounds for Northern Highlands (18-3).
Tianna Smith had a team-high 20 points and Dejah Taylor had nine for Paramus Catholic (14-7).
