Today, the Aces bring you the a look at the final North Jersey boys volleyball standings. Hopefully, you also had a chance to peruse the All-North Jersey features that appeared in The Record on Wednesday… if not, or if you’d like to see them online, here are links to the stories on northjersey.com for your viewing enjoyment:

With the addition of Ramapo and Indian Hills, there were 22 varsity programs in North Jersey this season, and at least one more is reportedly on the way next year (West Milford). We tried to do as thorough a breakdown of each conference/division/league as possible, but if Taglines missed anything, send an email before the FINAL final boys volleyball blog of the season appears…

FINAL 2015 BIG NORTH BOYS VOLLEYBALL STANDINGS

LIBERTY / Division W-L
1. Clifton, 10-0 (18-11 overall) … The Mustangs get back over .5oo to win their third division title in five years.
2. Passaic, 8-2 (9-12) … Indians’ only two division losses were to Clifton, and they’ll have a ton of juniors back next year.
3. Passaic Tech, 6-4 (6-15) … 2014 Liberty champs in the process of regrouping, as they broke in several new starters.
4. Kennedy, 4-6 (5-16) … Knights picked up a few more wins than last year but will graduate four-year libero/DS Gene Quispe.
T5. Bergen Tech, 1-9 (2-20) … Four freshmen joined the program this year, and top hitter Clarke Deegan is just a sophomore.
T5. Eastside, 1-9 (2-18) … I had Eastside as winless in last year’s standings, but coach Omar Polanco reported that the Ghosts beat North Star Academy (Newark) in 2014 to avoid an oh-fer. This year, they won a pair of thrilling three-setters against Bergen Tech and Indian Hills.

FREEDOM / Division W-L
1. Bergen Catholic, 8-0 (20-12) … BC won 15-of-16 in the middle of the season in clinching their third Freedom title (first since 2012).
T2. Don Bosco, 5-3 (15-9) … Ironmen’s two-year unbeaten streak in division ends, but they’ve still never had a losing season.
T2. Hackensack, 5-3 (19-9) … Split with Bosco to tie for second and ended year on 11-3 run (losing only to Fair Lawn and Wayne Valley in that span).
4. Teaneck, 2-6 (8-11) … An 0-5 start hurt team’s playoff chances. Still, the Highwaymen went 8-6 in their final 14 matches.
5. Bergenfield, 0-8 (1-18) … Bears started to jell down the stretch, beating Bergen Tech and going three sets with both Passaic and Garfield.

INDEPENDENCE / Division W-L
1. Fair Lawn, 8-0 (38-5) … Thought their sectional streak was impressive? The Cutters have won this division all five years it’s been around.
T2. Wayne Hills, 5-3 (18-8) … “Wayne Thrills” played three-setters in three of its final four matches but dropped all three (two by 2 points).
T2. Wayne Valley, 5-3 (21-6) … No one overcomes graduation losses like the Passaic County champs, who won 15-of-16 prior to the North 1 semis.
4. Lakeland, 2-6 (11-12) … Another team that closed well. Lancers were 8-4 after a 3-8 start, and with only one senior on the roster.
5. Passaic Valley, 0-8 (9-13) … Every year, I wonder how the Hornets would do in another division. Outside the Independence, they were 9-5 and nearly knocked off a strong Jefferson team.

FINAL 2015 WEST JERSEY VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE STANDINGS

1. Harrison, 12-0 (28-3) … How do you erase the taste of three straight league runner-up finishes? Three words: Best. Season. Ever.
T2. Jefferson Twp., 9-3 … The Falcons upset Wayne Hills in the first round of the North 1 playoffs…
T2. Vernon, 9-3 …and the Vikings upended Clifton. WJVL is small but stronger than you think.
T4. Dover, 4-8 … Tigers actually started 3-0 in the league.
T4. Summit, 4-8 … 2014 champs graduated virtually everybody.
6. Pope John XXIII, 3-9 … Lions improve after going winless in league last year.
7. Lyndhurst, 1-11 (7-15) … In season No. 2, the Golden Bears more than doubled their win total. Word on the street is they’ll be ready to enter the Bergen County tournament for the first time in 2016.

FINAL 2015 HUDSON COUNTY INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC LEAGUE

WHITE DIVISION / Division W-L
1. North Bergen, 8-0 (15-8) … The Bruins, who finished last in the Red Division last year, swept their new mates and enjoyed their first winning season since 2010.
2. Dickinson, 5-3 (11-12)
3. Lincoln, 4-4 (12-12)
4. Ferris, 2-6 (3-15)
5. Snyder, 1-7 (2-18)

FINAL 2015 RECORDS: INDEPENDENT TEAMS

* Ramapo, 10-9 … The Green Raiders ran out of steam a bit after a 9-2 start, but you can’t ask for much more from a first-year program. They made states and beat established programs Lakeland and Passaic.
* Indian Hills, 5-12 … It took a few matches, but the Braves shook off the rust from a 17-year layoff and got their first varsity win since 1998 against Bergen Tech on April 10. They also beat the West Milford JV twice, which technically could make them 7-12, but I haven’t gotten an official ruling on how to count those yet.
* Garfield, 5-11 … The Boilermakers were another team that graduated a ton of experience but held their own. They’ll say goodbye to six more seniors but look forward to the return of junior setter Ardit Babamusta — who, in case you missed it, served three (yes, three) aces against Bergen Tech.
* West Milford JV, 7-6 … Yes, the Highlanders will start varsity play next year, bringing the number of Passaic County teams to 10. Their coach, Alyssa Forget, was previously an assistant at Lakeland.
* Bergen Charter JV, 0-4 … Wasn’t aware the Yellow Jackets were starting a program, but four other teams in North Jersey called in scores against them, so I guess that’s another storyline to follow for 2016.
