The Big North United went 1-2-3 in his year’s Jamboree seeding meeting, with the field of 22 announced tonight.  Don Bosco (12-2) is the top seed for the second straight year, followed by St. Joseph (10-3) in the two seed and Bergen Catholic (9-4) in the three spot.

Ramapo (11-2) broke the United string by earning the fourth seed.  The five through eight seeds are four-time defending champion Teaneck (7-6), Hackensack (8-6), Bergenfield (9-2) and Ridgewood (10-4).

The last two teams to receive a bye in the first round are Dwight Morrow (9-5) and Cresskill (13-1).  The remaining ten teams will play this Saturday at either Bergenfield, Old Tappan or Bergen Catholic.

Among the remaining teams, Ramsey is making its first appearance in the Jamboree since 2000, the longest stretch between appearances for any of this year’s participants.

Thirty-one teams applied for the Jamboree, and nine did not make the field – Elmwood Park (5-9), Glen Rock (7-5), Lodi (4-6), North Arlington (9-5), Old Tappan (4-7), Palisades Park (7-5), Paramus Catholic (3-7), Pascack Hills (7-6) and River Dell (6-6).
